2015-04-11 - Roll Cage just about finished

 

 

Popped the Jimny up on a few blocks to finish off the tree sliders

Finished off around the front bars

 Looks good while parked crooked

Tidied up the end of the tree sliders

 

And the end of the bumper

Little bit more welding around the front bars

And cleaned up around the windscreen

 

Using the JCB, we carefully lifted off the cage

Then painted it in Hammerite Black

 It kind of has a Darth Vader look when its out like this

 Hammerite Black comes out really nice

 Here is the Roll Cage all finished, back on the Jimny and all painted up

 Looking a bit dirty already as we took it for a quick spin around some of the lanes

Stan2's cage is complete. Next is the Xfer box and the Lock Rite

2015-04-04 - Roll Cage Updates

Added a new bar around the windscreen and also around the back bumper to protect the rear glass off the trees. Trimmed more of the front wings as well as they were catching in teh doors a little due to the cage being very tight.

2015-04-03 - Virtual Lift

Added a "virtual lift" to give the 31" Malatesta Kobras a bit more clearance and also added some new bars today
